Job summary

Giant Tiger Wholesale is hiring a Container Associate for evening shifts at our Johnstown, Ontario distribution centre. You will unload containers, lift heavy items, and organize pallets while adhering to safety standards.

You’ll work in a loud, fast-paced warehouse environment and report to a supervisor. Training is provided; opportunities for growth exist within Giant Tiger Wholesale.

Qualifications

• Safety and OSHA/WHMIS standards compliance are required.
• Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and repetitively lift 1–50 lbs.
• Comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment with hot or cold weather.
• Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and a team player.
• A professional appearance and the ability to follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Unload containers to the specified configuration of cases per layer on the pallet.
• Lift boxes weighing 1–50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
• Segregate boxes by item number and interlock cases on pallets.
• Secure pallets with tape or shrink wrap and report variances or damages.
• Perform warehouse duties as directed by the supervisor.
