Job summary

Giant Tiger is hiring a Receiver (Day Shift) for its Johnstown, Ontario distribution centre. You will unload goods with a forklift, verify receipts against POs, enter data in the system, and assign pick locations. Training and certification are provided.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, a forklift certification, and basic PC skills. On-site role with a competitive hourly rate and benefits. Shift Tue–Sat, 6:00am–2:30pm.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School.
• Class G2 or higher driver’s licence.
• Successful completion of a forklift training program.
• Familiar with material handling equipment.
• Voice picking or Manhattan WMOS (WMOS) experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Unload goods safely using a counter balance or low lift forklift.
• Verify items received for accuracy against purchase orders (ASNs).
• Enter product information into computer systems; assign active pick locations.
• Apply License Plate Numbers (LPNs) and confirm quantity against ASN.
• Sign all transport documentation and report discrepancies.
• Complete non-compliance for vendors who do not follow GTW’s shipping standards.
