Giant Tiger in Johnstown, ON is hiring a permanent, full-time Shipper (Evenings) to operate forklifts, verify pallets, and load shipments in a large distribution center. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and efficiency within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drive forklifts and low lift pallet jacks through high trafficked areas with a focus on safe and efficient operation.
• Verify and organize wrapped pallets.
• Prepare and lane wrapped pallets, ensuring they in the correct pallet location.
• Load wrapped pallets onto trucks with care and precision.
• Maintain a daily productivity count.
• Support other departments when necessary as directed by the supervisor.

Giant Tiger Wholesale is looking to hire a permanent, full-time Shipper Associate for our fully automated 660,000 square foot distributioncentre in Johnstown, ON!

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Drive forklifts and low lift pallet jacks through high trafficked areas with a focus on safe and efficient operation

What You’ll Bring:

• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety and complies with Ontario Safety and Health Act (OSHA), and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) standards

• Capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy objects throughout shift

• Comfortable in a noisy, fast‑paced environment and operating forklift in confined areas

• Punctual, self‑motivated, attention to detail and spatially aware of surroundings

• Basic math and PC skills

• As part of your onboarding, you will be required to complete three days of paid machine training and successfully obtain in‑house certification. Successful machine certification is a mandatory condition of employment as it is an occupational requirement.

Assets You May Have:

• Completion of High School;

• Experience in a warehouse environment
