Job summary

Renfrew County District School Board is seeking a Custodian for Arnprior District High School. The position runs 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, with a 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm schedule.

The incumbent will support cleaning, maintenance, opening/closing, and safety compliance within the school. Required is a Grade 12 or equivalent and at least one year in custodial work, with dependable, responsible behavior and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or Grade 12 equivalent and at least one year in custodial work.
• Ability to clean rooms, washrooms, floors and fixtures; operate cleaning equipment.
• Capable of following safety procedures and working independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning and building maintenance duties.
• Open/close the building and monitor building systems.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with grounds maintenance as needed.
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety policies and department procedures.
