Job summary

The Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board is seeking a Temporary Custodian for St. Ambrose School in Stratford. This 0.825 FTE role covers 33 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 2:45 PM to 10:05 PM, ensuring a safe and clean environment for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Previous custodial and/or cleaning experience is required.
• Previous custodial and/or cleaning experience in a school environment is an asset.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor repairs.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient computer skills are required; experience with Google Workspace is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate cleaning equipment to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, etc.
• Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings.
• Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
• Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs.
• Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
• Tend grounds and plants as required by the Principal.
• Clean and disinfect washrooms, lunchrooms and fixtures.
• Move furniture, equipment and supplies.
• May perform minor repairs as required.
