Job summary

Kindera Living in Toronto is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for the Evening shift. This full-time, on-site role coordinates resident-centered care, supervises PSWs, and maintains open communication with families and the interdisciplinary team.

You will administer medications, participate in care conferences, and complete assessments per CNO standards. The organization offers competitive wages and a supportive, caring culture.

Qualifications

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Practical Nurse or equivalent in another jurisdiction.
• CPR certification is an asset.
• Experience in long-term care is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of RAI-MDS – AIS; if not, must complete within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify care plans based on residents' health needs and status changes.
• Liaise with health care personnel, agencies and families.
• Supervise unit activities and supervise PSWs.
• Administer medications and treatments per policies and standards.
• Complete and update nursing assessments and care plans; document in patient records.
• Attend care conferences and participate in quality improvement.
