Zusammenfassung

Kindera Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a temporary part-time, on-site position at Arbour Creek Care Centre in Hamilton, Ontario. The RPN will coordinate resident-focused care, supervise PSWs, and work within the Home’s philosophy and policies.

Starting wage is $28.95/hour. Responsibilities include care plan development, medication administration, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality indicators and resident rights are upheld.

Qualifikationen

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as RPN or equivalent in another jurisdiction.
• Basic CPR is an asset.
• Experience in long-term care setting is an asset.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary team members.
• Knowledge of RAI‑MDS – AIS certified; if not, complete within one year.
• Clear vulnerable sector screen and up-to-date TB test; provide three supervisory references.

Aufgaben

• Develop and modify care plans based on residents' health needs.
• Liaise with health care personnel, agencies and families.
• Maintain good relationships with team members, residents, families and the public.
• Engage with residents through meaningful interactions during shifts.
• Supervise unit activities and direct PSWs as required.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy and document accurately.
