Job summary

Eatonville Care Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario, is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to coordinate and oversee resident-focused care. The RPN reports to the Director of Care and promotes the home’s values and philosophy.

This casual posting offers flexible hours; duties include care plan development, liaising with teams and families, supervising PSWs, administering medications, and ensuring quality indicators are met.

Qualifications

• The qualifications needed to join our family are as follows.
• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario as Registered Practical Nurse or equivalent from another jurisdiction, with authority to practice in Ontario.
• Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify resident care plans based on health needs.
• Liaises with other health care personnel, agencies and families.
• Supervises unit activities and directs PSW staff.
• Administers medications and treatments per policies of Home and Pharmacy provider.
• Monitors quality indicators and participates in improving them.
