Job summary

Southbridge Roseview in Thunder Bay, Ontario is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a full-time role with mixed day and evening shifts (7am-3pm, 3pm-11pm). You will deliver nursing care, follow physician orders, and maintain high standards of safety and quality in a long-term care setting.

The successful candidate must hold a current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario and be registered or eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses

Qualifications

• Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Registration or eligible for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
• Current First Aid and BLS Certificate.
• Knowledge of infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to residents in accordance with standards, physician orders, and policies.
• Assess residents, develop and evaluate care plans, monitor health, and refer to doctors as needed.
• Organize and direct care for residents, including restorative and palliative care as required.
• Plan, supervise, and evaluate nursing staff and train new personnel.
