We are presently looking for our next great team member as an Evening Park Operator to join our Park Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain parks facilitiesaccording to BC Parks standards (including but not limited to pit toilets,garbage bins, campsites, picnic tables, firepits, wash houses, and showerstalls)
- Emptying garbage and recycling bins
- Repair/paint structures and facilities as needed
- Ensure high levels of customer service
- Represent BC Parks and Manning Park Resort in a professionalmanner
- Educate campers on BC Parks rules & report incidents andoccurrences efficiently to supervisor, or manager
- Respond to campers’ inquiries and assist when able
- Maintain communication with other staff members
- Perform equipment inspection and maintenance
- Daily completion of logbooks and vehicle inspections
- Assist the operation department with other tasks as required which mayinclude but not limited to covering shifts at the Boathouse
- Other tasks asrequired within MPR
Requirements
- Available to work flexible hours. This is an evening role with a 15:00 to 23:30 shift.
- Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player
- Effective time management and organizational skills
- Able to lift and carry 50 lbs
- Value safe working practices
- Class 5 or N driver’s license (or equivalent) with a clean driver’s abstract
- Clean criminal record check
- Experience with landscaping and cleaning is an asset
- Experience driving while pulling a small trailer is an asset
- Fluent in English. A second language would be considered an asset.
- This is a Seasonal Position so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Summer Season (May – October)
