Job summary

Kubik is seeking an Estimator to grow with a fast-paced team and deliver accurate cost estimates for branded environments. You will take part in the tender process from pre-bid to post-quotation, collaborating with Project Managers and vendors to ensure feasible, cost-effective solutions.

You should be able to read blueprints, understand millwork materials, and use MS Office to prepare detailed takeoffs and cost analyses while meeting tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience reading blueprints and working with standard display materials and techniques.
• Proficient in MS Office and able to manage plans and specs.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Attend pre-tender meetings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs/estimates of materials, labour and equipment.
• Prepare and follow up on quotations and tendering procedures.
• Consult with internal and external vendors regarding pricing.
• Identify the most cost-effective methods to produce/fabricate the product.
• Establish tendering processes and cost monitoring reporting procedures.
• Maintain a directory of product suppliers.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Account Managers.

As an Estimator you will play an integral part in preparing estimates for branded environments from high level sketches or detailed designs. It's essential that you can work with minimal supervision while being professional, self-directed and committed to quality work.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Attend all pre-tender meetings to prepare accurate estimates.
• Prepare takeoffs/estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment.
• Prepare and follow-up on quotations and advise on tendering procedures (including examination and analyzing of tenders).
• Consult with vendors (internal and external) regarding pricing.
• Identify the most effective way to produce/fabricate the product.
• Establish and maintain tendering process and set up cost monitoring reporting and procedures.
• Prepare and maintain a directory of product suppliers.
• Consult and communicate with Project Managers, Account Managers and others involved in the project.
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Relevant experience in the branded environments, trade show, retail store fixtures, construction or corporate interiors.
• Ability to read blueprints and a working knowledge of standard display building materials and techniques
• Experience in millwork and woodworking.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
