Job summary

Faber Technologies in Calgary, Alberta seeks an experienced Estimator to lead estimations and bids for commercial tenant improvement projects. You will drive preconstruction activities, partner with Business Development and Project Management, and ensure bids reflect project goals and high accuracy.

The role requires strong knowledge of estimating methods, coordination with clients and consultants, and the ability to manage multiple bids from pursuit to award.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in construction.

About The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to lead creation of estimations and bids for commercial tenant improvement projects.

You will be responsible for all estimations and bids, working closely with the Business Development Manager and Project Management teams to ensure all bids and estimates are done to a high level accuracy and clarity, and aligned with company project goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead all estimating and preconstruction activities for commercial tenant improvements
• Prepare, review, and oversee bids for potential projects, assessing risk and value, and finalizing tender submissions
• Identify opportunities through public tenders, support with prospecting new projects
• Work with clients and consultants to ensure bids and comprehensive and done to a high level of clarity
• Develop preliminary project schedules and budget forecasts
• Collaborate with site leadership to document ongoing projects
• Communicate with stakeholders on tender negotiations, support in bringing tendered from submission to contract award
• Support in business development efforts on an ongoing basis

Skills And Requirements

• Experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
• Experience estimating commercial tenant improvement projects
• Experience using a variety of estimating software and tools
• Desire to work directly with the senior leadership team and support the continuing growth of the company on a long-term basis
• Proven ability to communicate with dynamic teams on multiple projects
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Ability to find quick solutions and implement them proactively in dealing with problems
