Job summary

Park Hyatt Toronto's Stillwater Spa seeks an experienced Esthetician passionate about skincare and the beauty industry. You will educate clients on healthy home care and provide courteous, professional service in a high-volume spa setting.

Responsibilities include assisting spa operations, maintaining grooming standards, rotating across spa sub-departments, performing nail treatments, preparing supplies, and staying current with treatment trends.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Esthetician in a high-volume spa/health club.
• Solid knowledge of treatment protocols and current licenses where applicable.
• Service-focused personality, flexible schedule and highly motivated.

• Report to work punctually 15 minutes before your shift in proper uniform.
• Follow grooming standards as per Hyatt Look policy.
• Provide courteous, professional and flexible service at all times following Park Hyatt Standards of Performance.
• Perform duties in the assigned place of work with Master Task Lists updated regularly.
• Be flexible and rotate within spa sub-departments as needed.
• Perform spa nail treatments as certified/trained.
• Be on time for appointments and review appointments after each therapy.
• Maintain a clean and neat work area at all times.
• Keep supplies stocked and organized in pantry/work area; prepare kits as required.
• Interact courteously and answer facility-related questions from guests.
• Stay up to date with current spa treatment industry trends and promote spa services.

About The Role – Esthetician

The Stillwater Spa is looking to hire an experienced Esthetician. The right team member must be passionate about skin care and the beauty/health industry. They must possess a strong ability to educate clients on a healthy home care routine.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the spa area.
• Report to work punctually 15 minutes before your shift in proper uniform.
• Follow grooming standards as laid down by the hotel/spa per the Hyatt Look policy.
• Provide a courteous, professional, efficient and flexible service at all times, following Park Hyatt Standards of Performance.
• Perform all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the standard set. Master Task Lists are reviewed and changed on a regular basis reflecting changes in trends, guest expectations and operating philosophies.
• Be entirely flexible and adept to rotate within the different sub departments of the spa.
• Perform all spa nail treatments, as certified/trained to do so.
• Be on time for appointments and thoroughly review appointments after completing each therapy.
• Keep work area clean and neat at all times.
• Maintain an ample supply of products, alcohol, towels, sheets, and other necessary supplies in a neat and orderly fashion within the pantry/work area. Prepare kits as required/needed.
• Courtly interact and answer all facility-related questions with guests.
• Ensure being up to date with current trends in the spa treatment industry.
• Serve as a catalyst to promote spa services to members and hotel guests.
• Maintain current professional licenses as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Proven and demonstrated previous experience as an Esthetician in a high-volume spa/health club operation, preferably within hospitality/hotel environment.
• Solid knowledge of various treatment protocols and all candidates must have current qualifications and/or licenses where applicable.
• Service-focused personality is essential.
• Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven.
• Excellent communication skills.

Rate: 17.60 per hour
