Job summary

Henry Schein Canada in Edmonton, AB is seeking an Equipment Service Technician to install, diagnose, and repair dental equipment at client sites across the Edmonton Territory and surrounding area.

You will work hands-on, handle heavy lifting, and provide reliable service while keeping up to date with vendor equipment and service tools. A mechanical or electrical technology background is an asset, and strong customer relations are essential.

Qualifications

• Customer service and relationship-building with clients.
• Able to troubleshoot and repair diversified dental equipment.
• Basic mechanical/electrical understanding is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be the main client contact for service needs.
• Foster new client connections and promote services.
• Understand equipment to diagnose and repair problems.
• Service equipment; support installations, run diagnostics, perform repairs as required.
• Stay updated with vendor equipment and machinery.
• Handle administrative duties including work orders, billing and inventory.
• Be comfortable with heavy lifting.

THE POSITION

• People person. You will be the point of contact for clients, providing them with any required service needs
• Taking initiative. You will foster new client connections, promoting new business and services within the industry
• Naturally curious. You like to understand how even the smallest of parts of equipment run so you can easily repair
• Technically inclined. You will service equipment; support installations, run equipment diagnostics, and perform repairs as required
• Driven to learn. You will keep up to date with vendor equipment and machinery
• Keeping things tidy. Administrative duties will need to be managed including work orders, billings and maintenance of parts/tool inventory
• Hands‑on. The position requires someone who is comfortable with heavy lifting of equipment and machinery
  

The Qualifications

You are someone who understands the value of strong customer relationships, and you know how to provide a client with great service. You are natural born tinkerer who has a passion for installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment. Understanding and working with machinery and equipment is your strong suit. You have great time management skills, organizational skills, and work well under pressure. An education in mechanical or electrical technology is an asset. Experience is preferred but not a requirement, we are looking for someone driven by the challenges and opportunities offered by the role.
this position is based in our Edmonton Territory and includes Fort McMurray and surrounding area. This role requires a valid driver’s license as you will be supporting client locations throughout this region.
