Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Post graduate coursework in emergency or equivalent experience in emergency care.
• Strong assessment, planning and evaluation skills in acute settings.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information using observation, communication and assessment skills.
• Collaborate with patients and families in developing and modifying care plans.
• Coordinate nursing care, set priorities and delegate tasks to support staff.
• Communicate and collaborate with interprofessional team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Teach patients and families about illness prevention and health maintenance.
