Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with BCCNM.
• Post-graduate course work in emergency or equivalent experience in emergency care.
• Strong assessment, communication, education and team collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients and collects information; plans, performs and evaluates nursing care.
• Collaborates with patients and families to develop and adjust the care plan.
• Coordinates nursing care, prioritizes tasks, and delegates to staff.
• Educates patients and families about illness prevention and post-discharge care.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
• Participates in quality improvement activities and committees.
• Mentors new nursing staff and supports orientation.
• Performs other related duties as required.
