You will join an interprofessional team delivering urgent care to patients in critical condition, with comprehensive benefits and a defined pension plan, starting from day one.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an approved program.
• Current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Completion or willingness to complete applicable post-graduate specialty courses.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to diagnose and plan nursing care.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and adjust care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and ensure timely care updates.
• Coordinate nursing care, delegate tasks, and refer to the interprofessional team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other health professionals to address patient changes.
• Educate patients and families on illness prevention and health maintenance.
• Discuss referrals with patients and families and initiate community connections.
• Document assessments, plans, and outcomes per Fraser Health standards.
• Participate in committees, quality improvement, and ongoing learning.
