Job summary

Fraser Health Authority is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across specialty units in Abbotsford, BC. The role emphasizes rotation through units to consolidate skills while pursuing related post-graduate specialty work.

You will work within the interprofessional team, contribute to care planning, and support transitions from admission to discharge, with a focus on patient-centered care and education.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BCCNM.
• Completion of the applicable post graduate specialty nursing course/program and/or willingness to complete the applicable post graduate specialty nursing courses/program.
• Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and collect information to diagnose and plan nursing interventions.
• Collaborate with patients and families to develop and adjust care plans.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination with the interprofessional team.
• Coordinate nursing care, delegate tasks, and refer to the care team as needed.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and self-care.
