Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting an Equipment Operator to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. The role offers day and night shifts, camp accommodations, and charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton. The project runs 6 days on, 1 day off with overtime during the turnaround.

The position starts as early as Sep 7, 2026 and ends by Oct 7, 2026, with rotations and safety checks in place.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Driver's Abstract.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask fit.
• CSTS 09 or CSO.
• Firewatch.
• Basic Rigging.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems used in heating, cooling, and processing.
• Measure, cut, thread, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings to support system operation.
• Use testing equipment to check for leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Jardeg is recruiting Equipment Operator to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Day and night shifts are available. Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary. The shift rotation is 6 days on, 1 day off during the turnaround with overtime. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) are provided by the company.

Come be a part of an outstanding team working with industry leaders who have been executing work at the Albian site for over a decade. This is a temporary role starting as early as Sep 7th 2026 and lasting as late as Oct 7th 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Position Qualifications:

• Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask fit
