Job summary

Jardeg-Construction is seeking a Welder Apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Day and night shifts are available, with flights provided from Edmonton and Calgary.

The shift rotation is 6 days on, 1 day off, with overtime, and camp accommodations are provided. This temporary role runs from early September to early October 2026.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certification and/or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Driver's Abstract.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and Mask fit.
• CSTS 09 or CSO.
• Confined Space -ESC.
• Fall Protection -ESC.
• AWP - ESC.
• Firewatch.
• Basic Rigging.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems.
• Measure, cut, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Use testing equipment to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Jardeg is recruiting Welder Apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Day and night shifts are available. Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary. The shift rotation is 6 days on, 1 day off during the turnaround with overtime. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) are provided by the company.

Travel allowance available for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
