Job summary

Jardeg is recruiting a Pipefitter Apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Day and night shifts are available with a 6 days on/1 day off rotation, and flights from Edmonton or Calgary.

Camp accommodations are provided along with charter flights from Calgary or Edmonton. A travel allowance is available for qualified applicants; the assignment runs from Sep 7 to Oct 7, 2026.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certification or Interprovincial Red Seal required.
• Driver's Abstract required.
• Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test and mask fit required.
• CSTS 09 or CSO certification preferred.
• Confined Space - ESC certification required.
• Fall Protection - ESC certification required.
• AWP - ESC certification required.
• Firewatch certification preferred.
• Basic Rigging knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain and repair piping systems for water, steam, chemicals or fuel.
• Demonstrate knowledge of piping components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving and bending pipes, valves and fittings.
• Use testing equipment to check for leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.

Jardeg is recruiting pipefitter apprentice to join the Heartland Constructors Inc. team at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta for the 2026 Fall Turnaround. Day and night shifts are available. Flights are provided from Edmonton and Calgary. The shift rotation is 6 days on, 1 day off during the turnaround with overtime. Camp accommodation and charter flights (from Calgary or Edmonton) are provided by the company.

Travel allowance available for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
• Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
• Use testing equipment effectively to check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
