Job summary

Nasittuq is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team supporting the North Warning System in Nunavut. This position offers a Fly-In/Fly-Out rotation with 6 weeks on, 6 weeks off, and company-provided accommodations.

Operations include operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment in remote Arctic locations, with focus on safety and reliability in challenging environments.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Heavy Equipment Operator with Air Brake Endorsement (DZ Licence) or valid Class 3 Driver’s Licence with Air Brake Certification
  • Completion of Safe Backing training or ability to obtain certification
  • Valid driver’s licence with satisfactory driving record
  • Experience operating loaders, graders, dozers, dump trucks, forklifts, snow removal equipment, and similar machinery
  • Experience with snow clearing and winter road maintenance
  • Experience towing trailers and operating vehicles with attached equipment
  • Ability to work in remote, industrial, or Arctic environments
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment operation and workplace safety
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in remote Arctic environments
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Enhanced Reliability or Secret Level Security Clearance

Heavy Equipment Operators - North Warning System - 6/6 Rotation - Fly-In & Fly-Out + Accommodations Provided- Nunavut, NU

Nasittuq is seeking Heavy Equipment Operators to join their team supporting the North Warning System in Nunavut. This is a unique opportunity to work in remote Arctic locations on a rotational schedule, operating and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment. The ideal candidates are experienced operators with a strong safety mindset, ready to contribute to critical infrastructure in challenging environments.

  • Competitive pay: $37.14 to $46.44 annually
