Job summary

Simpcw Resources Group is seeking experienced Equipment Operators for civil projects in Barriere, British Columbia. This project-term role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment across multiple project sites, supporting civil construction activities in all weather conditions.

The ideal candidates are safety-focused, skilled with various equipment, and able to work a 14/7 rotation while contributing to both equipment operation and general site activities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating equipment in civil construction, earthworks, road construction, or related environments.
• Proven competency with skid steers, mini excavators, excavators, dozers, graders, wheel loaders, or similar heavy equipment.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with clean abstract (Class 1 or 3 an asset).
• Ability to work a 14/7 rotational schedule with up to 12-hour shifts.
• Willingness to travel to project locations (Hinton, Jasper, Valemount, Clearwater, Kamloops).
• WHMIS and CSTS certifications required; Ground Disturbance Level II an asset.
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safe operating procedures.
• Physically capable of manual labour and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to assist with general labour and site support activities.

What You’ll Need

• Minimum 3 years of experience operating equipment in civil construction, earthworks, road construction, or related environment
• Proven competency with skid steers, mini excavators, excavators, dozers, graders, wheel loaders, or similar heavy equipment
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with clean abstract (Class 1 or 3 an asset)
• Ability to work a 14/7 rotational schedule with up to 12-hour shifts
• Willingness and ability to travel to project locations (Hinton, Jasper, Valemount, Clearwater, Kamloops)
• Experience with loading, unloading, securing, and transporting equipment/materials on flat deck trailers (asset)
• WHMIS and CSTS certifications required; Ground Disturbance Level II an asset
• Strong understanding of equipment maintenance and safe operating procedures
• Physically capable of manual labour and lifting up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work independently
• Willingness to assist with general labour and site support activities
• Compliance with pre-site-access drug and/or alcohol testing if required

What Will Make You Stand Out

• Class 1 or Class 3 Driver’s Licence
