Job summary

North American Construction Group is seeking Heavy Equipment Finish Operators to join their mining team at the Kearl site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This role involves operating large dozers in a remote mining environment, with a strong emphasis on safety and efficiency.

Candidates should have 3+ years of finish dozer experience on civil projects and be proficient with D3–D8 dozers. Valid Class 5 license, CSO certification, and English proficiency are required; camp accommodations and travel

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years experience as a Finish Dozer Operator on civil projects.
• Experience operating D3 to D8 sized Dozer or larger.
• Experience with muskeg/soft & wet ground.
• Experience building roads/corridors, backfilling pipe/trenches, sloping/spotting trucks.
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
• Proficient in English (verbal and written).
• Ability to follow instructions and ensure safe equipment operation.
• Valid CSO Certification.
• Wood Buffalo Wildlife Awareness or Energy Safety Canada Wildlife Awareness (Kearl only).
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing: breath alcohol, urine drug, fitness-to-work, audiometric, vision, and criminal record check.

Responsibilities

• Operate Dozer (D3–D8) at Kearl site.
• Work in remote mining environment.
• Follow safety procedures and focus on safe operations.
• Assist with road/corridor construction and trench backfilling.

North American Construction Group is seeking Heavy Equipment Finish Operators to join their mining team at the Kearl site near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is an excellent opportunity to work on one of the region’s largest and safest contracts, operating large dozers in a remote mining environment.
