Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Dispatcher to organize the daily dispatch of equipment for the Winnipeg branch. You will schedule drivers, take customer orders, and coordinate for emergency field repairs to meet customers’ operational needs.

This role emphasizes safety, multitasking, and strong customer service within a fast-paced environment. Experience with DOT/Motor Carrier rules is preferred, and a valid license is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulations.
• Diligent attention to safety.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Superior customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers and dispatch equipment for the branch.
• Assist in taking customer telephone orders for deliveries, pickups and service.
• Arrange for all emergency field repairs.
• Answer customer calls and review driver schedules to fulfill requests.
• Assist Inside sales team as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
