Job summary

PCL Constructors Inc. is seeking an Equipment Coordinator Student for the North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, to support technology and equipment requests for eight months starting September.

You will monitor requests, coordinate transfers, and maintain asset records across districts while delivering strong customer service. Responsibilities include tracking shipments, resolving discrepancies, and generating reports to support asset management and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field is an asset.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize competing demands with high accuracy.
• Proficiency with asset management systems and ERP platforms (JD Edwards/E1) and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with stakeholders across districts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with proactive issue resolution.
• Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders while managing priorities and expectations.
• Negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
• Knowledge of equipment coordination, asset tracking, inventory controls, and record management.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for technology and equipment requests, transfers, and activations across all districts.
• Monitor and track equipment requests, validating project numbers and district codes for accuracy.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to equipment orders, transfers, activations, and asset records.
• Coordinate technology equipment transfers within the financial system and maintain documentation.
• Track outbound shipments from the warehouse and provide status updates.
• Finalize equipment orders and complete order closeout activities promptly.
• Communicate stock shortages and backorder impacts, recommending alternatives.
• Generate and maintain reports to support asset tracking and compliance.
• Support asset audits and reconciliation by maintaining records and addressing discrepancies.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and service.
• Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders as a trusted resource for equipment coordination.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and ensuring positive experiences for district partners.

As an Equipment Coordinator Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for technology and equipment requests, transfers, and activations across all districts.
• Monitor and track equipment requests, validating project numbers and district codes to ensure accuracy before processing.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to equipment orders, transfers, activations, and asset records, acting as a liaison between districts and BT Asset Management.
• Coordinate technology equipment transfers within the financial system and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
• Track outbound shipments originating from the warehouse and provide status updates as required.
• Finalize equipment orders and complete order closeout activities in a timely manner.
• Communicate stock shortages and backorder impacts while recommending suitable alternatives to meet operational requirements.
• Generate and maintain reports to support asset tracking, utilization, compliance, and operational decision-making.
• Support asset audits and reconciliation activities by maintaining accurate records and identifying discrepancies.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted resource for equipment coordination and issue resolution.
• Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience for district partners and internal clients.

What you will bring to the role:

• Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize competing demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with asset management systems, ERP platforms (such as JD Edwards/E1), and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple districts and departments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
