PCL Construction Resources Inc. in Edmonton, Alberta invites an Administrative Assistant to join our Resources team. The role covers reception, mail, document drafting, and event support to help keep the office running smoothly.

You will maintain templates, process purchase orders, and coordinate meetings, while handling confidential information with professionalism. This hands-on role supports our corporate office and field teams.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Postsecondary office administration credential is an asset.
• 1 year of administrative experience or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities.
• Handle confidential mail per code of conduct.
• Capable of professional handling of difficult calls.
• Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents.
• Basic Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe skills.
• Must be able to walk, climb stairs and stand for periods.
• Lift up to 20 pounds and climb ladders when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide reception and mail coverage.

Here's how an Administrative Assistant for PCL Construction Resources Inc. within Resources contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Provide coverage and support for reception and mail to ensure all duties are fulfilled
• Assist with documenting and updating administrative and reception manuals and processes
• Create and maintain templates, forms, letters, and spreadsheets
• Assist with organizing meetings/events, including arranging catering, locations, and distribution of information
• Orders and maintains office supplies, business cards and other special items for department
• Assist in electronically filing and archiving documents
• Assist in operating and maintaining department specific software
• Provides accurate Word, Excel, and PowerPoint support by composing or editing a variety of documents
• Creates and maintains specific contracts and purchase orders
• Maintain and stock department kitchen
• Maintain and update thirdparty tenant and vendor contact information
• Campus event booking management
• All other duties as required

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Postsecondary degree or diploma or certificate in office administration program considered an asset
• 1 year of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask
• Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential items of mail in accordance with PCL's code of conduct
• Ability to effectively handle difficult calls or situations
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents
• Basic skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
• Must be able to walk distances, climb stairs and stand for periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds consistently
• Ability to safely climb a ladder to stack and retrieve supplies when required
