Job summary

PCL's North American Headquarters in Edmonton, Alberta, invites applications for a Financial Systems Analyst Student position, available for 4 or 8 months starting January 2027. You will work under the Business Systems Support Manager and contribute to diverse projects within a supportive environment.

You'll develop skills in system configuration, reporting, and training while collaborating with business, technology and end users to ensure solutions meet requirements.

• Assets: Basic understanding of SQL; Training experience; Data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Responds to related service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and investigate problems.
• Assists with, create or update process, training and system documentation.
• Assists with/deliver web-based training to end users.
• Assists with documentation of requirements for new system.
• Assists with, create or update use cases that support requirements analysis, functional designs, user acceptance testing, and training material.
• Participates in pilots and rollouts.
• Develops and deliver stakeholder communications.
• Assists with coordination of subject matter experts for requirements refinement and user acceptance testing.
• Assists with/perform system configuration and testing.
• Liaises with business, technology, and support teams to ensure systems meet business requirements.
• Assists with new and ongoing department initiatives.
• Assists with/perform analysis of system and data usage.
• Configures navigation, dashboards, analytics, and reports in solutions such as Power BI.

We are seeking a Financial Systems Analyst Student for our North American Headquarters (NAHQ) in Edmonton, Alberta, that is available for 4 or 8 months starting in January 2027. This position will be under the direct supervisor of the Business Systems Support Manager.

As a Financial Systems Analyst Student and depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Responds to related service requests, troubleshoot incidents, and investigate problems.
• Assists with, create or update process, training and system documentation.
