Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment requests, transfers, and activations across districts.
  • Monitor and validate project numbers and codes for accuracy before processing.
  • Investigate discrepancies in equipment orders and asset records, liaising with districts and BT Asset Management.
  • Coordinate transfers in the financial system and maintain supporting docs.
  • Track outbound shipments from the warehouse and provide status updates.
  • Complete order closeout activities promptly and communicate shortages or backorders.
  • Generate reports to support asset tracking, utilization, and audits.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and deliver exceptional customer service.

As aEquipment Coordinator for PCL Construction Resources Inc.in Edmonton, Alberta (Corporate), you willplay a critical role in supporting Business Technology Asset Management and district operations by coordinating technology and equipment requests, managing asset activations and transfers, and ensuring the accuracy of asset-related data. As the primary point of contact for equipment coordination across all districts, this position is responsible for maintaining data integrity, resolving issues, supporting reporting and compliance initiatives, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Here’s how an Equipment Coordinatorfor PCL Construction Resources Inc. within Resources contributes to our team:

This role is being offered as a 12-month contract position.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for technology and equipment requests, transfers, and activations across all districts.
  • Monitor and track equipment requests, validating project numbers and district codes to ensure accuracy before processing.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to equipment orders, transfers, activations, and asset records, acting as a liaison between districts and BT Asset Management.
  • Coordinate technology equipment transfers within the financial system and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
  • Track outbound shipments originating from the warehouse and provide status updates as required.
  • Finalize equipment orders and complete order closeout activities in a timely manner.
  • Communicate stock shortages and backorder impacts while recommending suitable alternatives to meet operational requirements.
  • Generate and maintain reports to support asset tracking, utilization, compliance, and operational decision-making.
  • Support asset audits and reconciliation activities by maintaining accurate records and identifying discrepancies.
  • Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and customer service.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted resource for equipment coordination and issue resolution.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive experience for district partners and internal clients.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize competing demands while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with asset management systems, ERP platforms (such as JD Edwards/E1), and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to build strong working relationships across multiple districts and departments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders while managing competing priorities and expectations.
  • Intermediate negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment coordination, asset tracking processes, inventory controls, and record management practices.
