Job summary

PCL Construction Management Inc. is seeking a Site Administrative Assistant for a major project in Edmonton.

This contract role supports day-to-day operations, provides high-quality administrative support, and fosters strong relationships with stakeholders on site. The position requires 3 years of administrative experience, construction site exposure is preferred, and access to reliable transportation to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in an administrative role or equivalent technical experience.
  • Previous experience working on a construction site is preferred.
  • Access to reliable transportation is required to travel to project sites within and outside city limits.
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in office administration program considered an asset.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to change.
  • Ability to act with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Ability to effectively handle difficult situations and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to create, edit, proofread, and format documents/presentations.
  • Basic skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe, and OneNote.

Responsibilities

  • Ordering office supplies for department as requested.
  • Supporting mail distribution and courier requests.
  • Greeting visitors and answering their questions, directing them to meeting rooms, and connecting them with employees.

As aSite Administrative Assistant supporting a major construction project for PCL Construction Management Inc., you’ll have the opportunity to to contribute to our team by supporting efficient day to day operations through proactive coordination, high quality administrative support, and buildling strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. We are currently hiring for two project-based contract positions with anticipated durations of 23 to 27 months.
