Job summary

Magna Exteriors in Ontario is hiring for an E-Coat technician responsible for monitoring bath chemistry, laboratory tests, and equipment operation. You will ensure pretreatment and wastewater systems run efficiently while maintaining documentation and compliance with safety standards.

Minimum 2 years in manufacturing, knowledge of E-Coat systems and paint chemistry, and DataPaq experience are required. This full-time role offers a stable environment with opportunities for growth at Magna

Qualifications

• Graduate from Mechanical or Chemical Technology program or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience in paint or E-Coat facilities.
• Knowledge of E-Coat systems, paint chemistry, wastewater treatment systems, and process controls.
• Experience with DataPaq equipment and software; oven balancing is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain E-Coat bath chemistry within specified operating parameters.
• Perform laboratory testing including conductivity, pH, solids, temperature, and other required checks.
• Monitor operation of E-Coat tanks, ultrafiltration systems, DI water systems, rectifiers, ovens, washers, pumps, filters, and wastewater equipment.
• Ensure pretreatment, sludge management and wastewater treatment equipment operate efficiently.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and weekly audits of paint facilities equipment.
• Maintain documentation, testing records, inventories, and reports for the position.
