Job summary

Mackenzie Health is seeking an Applications Analyst with EpicCare Inpatient Ambulatory expertise to support and optimize the EMR system. You will collaborate with physicians, nursing, and allied health leadership to resolve issues and implement improvements while ensuring system standards and data security.

The role requires hospital EMR experience, EPIC certification within 3 months if not already held, and strong communication skills to interface with clinical stakeholders and vendors.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or diploma in a clinically related field; health informatics or computer science or equivalent.
• Two years of hospital clinical and/or hospital information systems and EMR experience (required)
• Experience working with Epic EMR (required)
• EPIC certification in Ambulatory, EpicCare Inpatient Orders, EpicCare Inpatient Clinical Documentation an asset, or certification within 3 months of hire
• Strong communication and conflict-management skills
• Data quality and security best practices awareness

Responsibilities

• Support Mackenzie Health EMR (EpicCare Inpatient Ambulatory) and provide end user support.
• Troubleshoot issues and errors, enhance and improve EMR while maintaining system standards.
• Analyze business operations, prioritize changes, and implement requested changes.
• Participate in rotational on-call, testing, upgrades, and optimizations of the software.
• Create and maintain training environments and curriculums; develop policies and procedures.
• Act as liaison between end users, EMR, and third party vendors for clear communication.
