Job summary

degservices is seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Property Management division in Vaughan. This entry-level role offers hands-on experience in commercial real estate accounting and a clear path to advancing to Senior Associate and eventually Property Accountant within three years.

You will support daily accounting tasks, assist with month-end close, and help prepare budgets and management reports for multiple properties, working closely with the accounting manager.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Approve accounts payable and perform bank reconciliations.
• Complete HST filing and expense tracking for tenants.
• Banking for bill payments and special deposit requests.
• Collaborate with Property Management and Leasing Teams for accurate financial information.
• Support month-end and year-end close with journal entries.
• Assist in preparation of financial statements, management reports, and budgets.
• Document and maintain department accounting procedures.
