Job summary

Canadian Kraft Paper Industries Ltd in The Pas is seeking an entry-level Power Engineer to join the Steam and Recovery team. You will help ensure safe and efficient operation of the Recovery and Power Boilers and begin progression toward operator level.

The position is full-time in a unionized environment. Requirements include Grade 12, a 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket (with ability to obtain 3rd Class), strong safety focus, good math and communication skills, and the ability to work 12-hour

Qualifications

• Grade 12 Diploma required.
• 4th Class Power Engineering Ticket with ability to obtain 3rd Class required.
• Strong focus on safety.
• Able to analyze and troubleshoot.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to work 12 hour shifts days and nights on a 4 on 4 off rotation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and efficient operation of the Recovery and Power Boilers.
• Perform general labourer duties as part of the 1st Class Plant team.
• Support progression from entry-level to operator level within the Steam and Recovery department.
