Job summary

CPKC, North America’s first transnational railroad, seeks a Solution Architect to drive enterprise technology solutions, spanning application development, system integration, and digital platforms. You will champion scalable, secure architectures and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities include leading end-to-end architectures, API ecosystems, and cloud/hybrid environments, while shaping transformation roadmaps with executives and enterprise

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Science or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT consulting, solution architecture or related roles.
• Experience with IT strategy, end-to-end application architecture, cloud/hybrid solutions (AWS).
• Strong experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) tools and technologies including Apache Kafka and AWS services.
• Experience leading business transformation initiatives and modern application development.
• Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide architecture leadership aligning solutions with standards and objectives.
• Lead architecture, integration, and management of end-to-end applications and APIs across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments.
• Design modern customer experience solutions and scalable front-to-back-end frameworks.
• Decompose complex challenges and develop innovative technology solutions.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop transformation roadmaps and future-state architectures.
• Build trusted relationships and influence decisions across the organization.
