Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a seasoned Solution Architect to lead design and evolution of technology solutions across ERP, construction site platforms, BIM/VDC environments, and analytics platforms. You will balance business needs, costs, risks, security, and scalability in a multi-cloud setting, guiding delivery teams and shaping enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience).
10+ years of experience in Information Technology, including at least 5 years as a Solution Architect in complex and multidisciplinary environments.
Demonstrated experience delivering large-scale digital transformation projects, ideally within pan-Canadian or multi-site organizations.

Responsibilities

Design application and integration architectures translating business requirements into deliverable architectures with Data Architects, Cybersecurity leaders, and Infrastructure Engineering teams.
Produce architecture deliverables: architecture docs (HLD/LLD), diagrams, target/transition-state architectures, ADRs, analyses, and IT policy-aligned strategies.
Collaborate with governance teams to translate validated requirements into feasible technology solutions and provide technical guidance to stakeholders.
Design solutions for ERP, construction site platforms, BIM/VDC environments, and data platforms with multi-cloud considerations.
Decompose solutions into components, services, and integrations (APIs, events, messaging, ETL) per approved patterns.
Apply Secure by Design and Zero Trust; document deviations via exception processes.
