Job summary

PCL Construction Management Inc. in Regina, Saskatchewan, invites engineering/technical students to join the team for 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting January 2026.

You will contribute to our projects within the Canadian Buildings sector, gaining hands-on experience on real projects while being mentored. The role offers a path to full-time opportunities, exposure to Primavera P6 and AutoCAD, and collaboration with seasoned professionals.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a post-secondary institution and returning or graduating after the work term.
• Desire to work in a construction environment; prior field experience is a plus.
• Familiar with word processing, spreadsheets and basic drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and define scope for trades and sub-trades.
• Review trade quotes by verifying quantities, hours and rates.
• Attend project meetings and update deficiency logs.
• Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
• Conduct site condition verifications and assist with schedule updates.

Responsibilities

Join us as an Engineering/Technical Student for our Regina district, within our Canadian Buildings sector for 4, 8, 12 or 16 months starting January 2026. Depending on your assigned project as an Engineering/Technical Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

• Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades
• Conduction of trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours and rates
• Participation in project meetings
• Completion of deficiency walks and updating of deficiency logs.
• Issues warranties
• Takes/coordinates progress photos
• Updates field drawings and produces as-built drawings
• Performance of quantity takeoffs
• Verification of site conditions and coordination of drawings
• Set-up and maintenance of records
• Project schedule updates and creation of manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
• Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD
• Monitoring of workforce productivity.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a post secondary institution and either returning or graduating after the end of this work term
• Have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
