PCL Constructors Canada Inc. is seeking an Engineering Student to join the Winnipeg district for a 4 or 8 month assignment starting in January. You will contribute to Canadian Buildings projects with hands-on responsibilities, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within a supportive team.

You will gain experience coordinating drawings, performing quantity takeoffs, and using Primavera P6 and AutoCAD on real projects, while receiving weekly pay and access to benefits and networking events.

Qualifikationen

• Strong desire to work in a construction environment.
• Prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Proficiency with common software tools (word processing, spreadsheets, drafting) required.

• Review trade quotes by checking quantities, hours and rates.
• Participate in project meetings and deficiency walks.
• Update deficiency logs and issue warranties.
• Take/coordinate progress photos and update field drawings.
• Produce as-built drawings and perform quantity takeoffs.
• Verify site conditions and coordinate drawings with teams.
• Maintain project records and schedules using Primavera P6 and AutoCAD.
• Monitor workforce productivity.

Join us as an Engineering Studentfor our Winnipegdistrict, within our Canadian Buildings sectorfor 4 or 8 months starting in January. Depending on your assigned project as a Engineering Student, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades
• Conduction of trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours and rates
• Participation in project meetings
• Completion of deficiency walks and updating of deficiency logs.
• Issues warranties
• Takes/coordinates progress photos
• Updates field drawings and produces as-built drawings
• Performance of quantity takeoffs
• Verification of site conditions and coordination of drawings
• Set-up and maintenance of records
• Project schedule updates and creation of manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
• Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD
• Monitoring of workforce productivity

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
