Job summary

PCL Construction Management Inc. in Calgary (and Calgary/Lethbridge) is seeking an Engineering Student to support infrastructure projects and gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

The program runs for 4–16 months starting in January 2027, offering exposure to drawings coordination, trades coordination, and project meetings. You will contribute to field drawing updates, quantity takeoffs, and schedule maintenance using Primavera P6 and AutoCAD, while developing skills across software

Qualifications

• Interest in construction and willingness to work in a field environment.
• Familiarity with drafting and common productivity software required.
• A valid driver’s license and access to transport may be required depending on site.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drawings and trade scope; support sub-trades coordination.
• Review quotes by checking quantities, hours and rates.
• Participate in project meetings and update deficiency logs.
• Update field drawings and produce as-built drawings.
• Create and maintain scheduling graphics with AutoCAD and Primavera P6.

Here’s how aEngineering Studentfor PCL Construction Management Inc. within Calgary contributes to our team:

Responsibilities

• Coordinating drawings and work specific scope/trades/sub-trades
• Conduction of trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours and rates
• Participation in project meetings
• Completion of deficiency walks and updating of deficiency logs
• Issues warranties
• Takes/coordinates progress photos
• Updates field drawings and produces as-built drawings
• Performance of quantity takeoffs
• Verification of site conditions and coordination of drawings
• Set-up and maintenance of records.
• Project schedule updates and creation of manual schedules using Primavera P6 EPPM software.
• Creating and maintaining graphical scheduling using AutoCAD.
• Monitoring of workforce productivity.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment and prior field construction experience will be considered an asset.
• Application of various computer software programs will be required, including word processing, spreadsheet applications and drafting.
• A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required depending on the project site/location.
