Zusammenfassung

The City of Delta is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Engineering Project Technologist to join the Engineering department for about 13 months. You will design municipal infrastructure such as water, sewer, drainage and roads and act as both designer and Construction Project Manager representative to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Qualifications include a Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology and at least three years in municipal design, drafting, construction and inspection,

Qualifikationen

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from a recognized Institute of Technology.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in municipal infrastructure design & drafting, construction, and inspection.
• Knowledge of common engineering design and construction practices.
• Experience with Master Municipal Construction Documents and typical engineering software.
• Strong engineering analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• A valid Class 5 BC Drivers’ License
• Applicants must be registered or eligible for registration with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC (ASTTBC) as an Applied Science Technologist (AScT) or Technician (CTech).

Aufgaben

• Prepare design layouts, detail drawings, specifications, construction estimates, contract documents and other related data.
• Act as both designer and Construction Project Manager representative ensuring compliance with plans and related specifications.
• Monitor construction to ensure compliance with plans, schedules and budgets.
• Provide design related direction to external Engineering Consultant firms for similar infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with internal and external contacts to supply project information and direction.
