Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Technical Writer/Process Documentation Analyst to join our engineering team. This role focuses on developing, maintaining, and standardizing process documentation, collaborating with process owners, SMEs, and stakeholders to capture current and future-state workflows.

The successful candidate will produce SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and workflow documents, while ensuring governance, version control, and quality across deliverables in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technical Writing or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years in technical writing, procedure writing, documentation analysis, or process documentation.
• Experience creating SOPs, work instructions, process maps, and controlled documentation.
• Interviewing and information gathering with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Excellent written communication and document organization skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Teams.
• Experience in document control and revision management processes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple documentation projects.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering teams, process owners, and SMEs to document business and engineering processes.
• Develop and maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Maps, and Workflow Documentation.
• Standardize documents according to naming conventions, templates, and formatting standards.
• Facilitate documentation reviews and incorporate stakeholder feedback for accuracy.
• Support document governance, including revision tracking, version control, and reviews.
• Analyze current-state processes and document future-state improvements and best practices.
• Maintain quality, consistency, readability, and compliance across all deliverables.
• Work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
