Job summary

Warner Music Group is seeking an Engineering Manager for its Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team. You will lead embedded engineers across lines of business, shaping how AI and automation solutions are delivered with a central technical bar.

You will define scalable operating playbooks, drive reuse, and partner with product owners and sponsors to turn ambiguous requests into actionable work. This role blends technical leadership with people management to deliver measurable impact.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering, solution architecture, data engineering, or AI/ML delivery.
• 2+ years managing engineers in a matrixed, embedded-in-business environment.
• Proven ability to define scalable operating playbooks and reusable patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build, coach, and manage a high-performing FDE team embedded in business lines.
• Define and scale the FDE operating playbook with intake, routing, and reuse rules.
• Turn ambiguous processes into clear, repeatable frameworks used by sponsors.
• Align engineers, product owners, and executives around shared standards and roadmaps.
• Champion reusable assets and tooling to avoid reinventing the wheel.
• Set the technical bar for AI optimization across enterprise frameworks.
• Own end-to-end governance for security, cost telemetry, and lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with divisional leaders to translate pain points into technical requirements.
