Job summary

InterPro Pipe & Steel Inc. is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student to join the Maintenance Team at our Red Deer facility, beginning in the January term.

The role offers entry-level work under close supervision with increasing responsibility as the term progresses. As a member of the team, you will gain hands-on experience, learn to interpret basic engineering drawings, and contribute to projects while developing critical thinking and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Materials preferred).
• Complete first year of engineering program.
• Self starter with leadership potential and willing to learn.
• Able to interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Job Description And Responsibilities

The Engineering Co-op Student will work with the Maintenance Team at our Red Deer facility. This position will begin in the January term.

As a member of the Maintenance Team, they will participate in projects and support the work of the department. The role will provide entry-level work under close supervision to start, with tasks increasing in complexity/responsibility as the term goes on.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Materials preferred)
• Complete first year of engineering program.
• Self starter. Past experience in a manufacturing /industrial environment. Strong academic performance, that demonstrates drive and dedication. Enrolled in Coop degree program
• Able to interpret basic engineering drawings
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow alongside with others
• Self-starter, with leadership potential
• Proficient in MS Office
