This entry-level role offers close supervision with increasing responsibility as the term progresses. You will collaborate with engineering and maintenance professionals, interpret basic drawings, and apply problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Materials preferred).
• Complete first year of engineering program.
• Self-starter with leadership potential.
• Past experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong academic performance demonstrating drive.
• Enrolled in Coop degree program.
• Able to interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow alongside others.
• Proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• The Engineering Co-op Student will work with the Maintenance Team at our Red Deer facility, participating in projects and supporting the work of the department.
• Begin in the January term with entry-level work under close supervision, with tasks increasing in complexity/responsibility as the term progresses.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance professionals to gain practical experience in a manufacturing environment.
