Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc. in Red Deer is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student to join the Maintenance Team starting in the January term.

You will work on projects and gain hands-on experience under close supervision as your responsibilities grow throughout the term. The role requires enrollment in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Materials preferred) and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Job Description and Responsibilities

The Engineering Co-op Student will work with the Maintenance Team at our Red Deer facility. This position will begin in the January term.

As a member of the Maintenance Team, they will participate in projects and support the work of the department. The role will provide entry-level work under close supervision to start, with tasks increasing in complexity/responsibility as the term goes on.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering degree program (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Materials preferred)
• Complete first year of engineering program.
• Self starter. Past experience in a manufacturing /industrial environment. Strong academic performance, that demonstrates drive and dedication. Enrolled in Coop degree program
• Able to interpret basic engineering drawings
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and grow alongside with others
• Self-starter, with leadership potential
• Proficient in MS Office
