Job summary

Tolko Industries is seeking an Engineering Co-op Student for the Athabasca Oriented-Strand Board division in Slave Lake, Alberta. You will gain hands-on experience in process improvement, product development, and innovation while working with seasoned professionals.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in Engineering or Wood Science, with mechanical aptitude and strong organizational and analytical skills. The role offers on-site work, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth and relocation

Qualifications

Current enrollment in an Engineering or Wood Science program.
Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machines.
A passion for technology and innovation.
Strong organizational, analytical, and report-writing skills.
Ability to work independently and use own resources to find innovative solutions to new problems.

Responsibilities

Support the SR&ED program.
Generate data showing long-term trends.
Standardize data collection across SBB mills.
Be driven to find solutions and ways to improve processes.
Be responsible for recommending methods to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime, and will provide support to the technical team.
Have opportunities to work with numerous departments across the mill.
