Job summary

Tolko Industries, located in Slave Lake, Alberta, invites Engineering or Wood Science students to join as an Engineering Co-op Student. You’ll work with seasoned professionals to gain hands-on experience in process improvement, product development, and innovation.

In this role you’ll contribute to the SR&ED program, generate data, and standardize data collection across our mills. You’ll have opportunities to collaborate with multiple departments and develop practical solutions, supported by

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an Engineering or Wood Science program.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machines.
• Passion for technology and innovation.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and find innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support the SR&ED program.
• Generate data showing long-term trends.
• Standardize data collection across our SSB mills.
• Be driven to find solutions and ways to improve processes.
• Be responsible for recommending methods to improve safety, quality, throughput, and uptime, and will provide support to the technical team.
• Have opportunities to work with numerous departments across the mill.
