Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Saint-Hubert is seeking a quality inspector to inspect, analyze, and verify engine parts. You will create repair checklists from manuals and work instructions, set up precision measuring tools, and manage parts for compliance.

Fluency in French is required, with functional English for technical documents and communications with international partners. SAP proficiency and aviation experience are valued as you ensure airworthiness and ongoing training.

Qualifications

  • College diploma in aeronautics or related field is required.
  • Avionics or mechanical engineering credentials with relevant experience are preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in SAP; able to read and understand technical drawings and terms.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections to validate part compliance.

What your daily routine will look like

You will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, verifying and managing engine parts in order to create repair checklists following work instructions and manuals.

Specifically, you will:

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections to validate part compliance
  • Set up and use precision measuring instruments
  • Manage parts and determine whether or not they are compliant
  • Use computer tools such as SAP, necessary to manage parts appropriately

You will be called upon to play a leading role when it comes to ensuring that quality standards are recognized and respected, and therefore:

  • Verify that repair processes have been followed in accordance with specifications
  • Issue airworthiness certificates
  • Take part in training
What you need to succeed
  • College diploma in aeronautics or a related field
  • College diploma in avionics technology with relevant experience in the field
  • College diploma in mechanical engineering
  • AEC in quality control from ENA
  • Experience in the field of aeronautics
  • Ability to express yourself in French both orally and in writing
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical mind
  • Proficiency in SAP
  • This position is in a French-speaking work environment, however it requires functional knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, blueprints, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with international clients, suppliers or colleagues.
