Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Canada in Longueuil, QC, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee day-to-day repair and overhaul operations at our St-Hubert facility. You will manage a high-technology manufacturing environment, drive safety, quality, and productivity, and lead multi-functional teams on a day shift.

We expect a bachelor’s degree in aeronautics, engineering or related fields with 4+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, and the ability to communicate in English for technical

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in aeronautics, business administration, or in engineering.
  • Minimum 4+ years of experience in supervising employees in manufacturing sectors.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Experience in leading and developing high performing teams, groups, projects and/or processes.
  • Must be quality oriented and committed to providing quality services in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment.
  • Lead to meet customer requirements while maintaining the highest quality of work.
  • Must be organized and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must be able to interact with various support groups.
  • Knowledge and experience with aftermarket repair and inspection processes in the aviation industry (Asset).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day repair/overhaul operations on the day shift.
  • Motivate and energize the workforce to reach optimal engagement.
  • Responsible for main performance indicators: Health & Safety, quality, on time delivery, productivity.
  • Help develop and manage the budget and hiring.
  • Supervise work shift changes.
  • Host and participate in meetings with other managers.

The maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of the various engine repair departments at our St-Hubert facility.

This is a full-time, day-shift position, Monday to Friday, based in St. Hubert, and is exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?
  • Supervise day-to-day repair/overhaul operations in a high technology industry, on the day shift;

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
