Pratt & Whitney Canada is seeking a Mechanical Designer for the Test Facilities Engineering team in Longueuil. You will design test equipment and systems for engine test cells, model parts, and create manufacturing drawings to support certification and performance validation.
The role requires 15-20 years of relevant experience, strong Catia V5 skills, and bilingual communication (French and English). On-site, Monday–Friday with flexible hours, in a French-speaking environment.

Within P&WC, the Test Facilities Engineering team is responsible for designing, building, and adapting test cells for all engine families and their components to meet the demanding requirements of each engine test. Equipment commissioned by our technical crew is essential for engine certification and performance validation before delivery to customers.
As a mechanical designer, you will be reporting to the senior manager of the test facilities engineering team. You will be responsible for designing test equipment and various systems required for test cell operations.
This is a full-time position from Monday to Friday with flexible hours, based in Longueuil, and performed exclusively on-site.

Although this position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
